Service Description

4 Deserts 1000 was inspired by Michael’s training for Dakar, Michael covered many kilometres throughout these areas , covering the breathtaking landscapes of Victoria's northwest’s Deserts. This epic ride will take you through the Big Desert, Murray Sunset Desert, Hattah Desert and Little Desert, covering 1000kms in the 4 days with a mix of hard packed clay tracks, minimal bitumen and of course sand! Lots of different types of sand. Stopping at scenic sights along the way with a stint of riding along the boarder track (Michaels Favorite part) you will be certain to have the time of your life. The route was carefully planned, dropping in and out of sand sections to give the rider plenty of recovery time before entering the next, With some extra challenging break out sections for those that are wanting to get the full sand experience if the day allows. Fuel, snacks and lunch will be purchased at service stations and cafes along the route at the rider’s expense, along with your evening meal (unless camping), we find this easier for your personal choice of meals and fuel usage, all other expense are covered including accommodation within the tour cost. Although 4 Deserts 1000 is aimed at small twin cylinder bikes and large single cylinder bikes we love having enduro bikes as well after all we know how much fun it is zipping through the desert on one! Accommodation is primarily pub style but may have to be camping some nights depending on availability. A back up vehicle is provided to carry all your luggage so all you need is your personal tools and snacks to be carried on your bike making your ride more enjoyable. A team of experienced sweep riders will be able to give you assistance along the way. 4 deserts 1000 can be by gpx file or within a group, giving the rider flexibility on how they experience the tour with the confidence of a lead and tail rider at all times.
